What Is It?
Why Do We Need It?
Recordings or a livestream are a good way to let people become comfortable with the idea of church. Many recent converts will tell you they started by watching the livestream.
But quality matters: 89% of people say video quality affects whether they trust who made it. A dark, crackly stream with a camera at the back of the room doesn't do the sermon justice.
In person, we should also be thinking about how we can accommodate those with particular needs. Is there provision for the elderly who can't hear well or read the words of the psalms? What about the mother who needs to take a child to another room, or the first-time visitor who feels uncomfortable because they don't know how to use a psalter?
Many of these issues can be solved with a reasonable PA system, a projector screen for the psalm words, and a video and audio relay to the crèche.
